Yes, however they may need to be removed during surgery, but replaced afterwards. The implant selection should be based on a combination of your desired size, soft tissue dynamics, breast base diameter and skin elasticity. I recommend an in-office examination as well as a detailed discussion with a surgeon who you are comfortable with. Finally, make sure your surgeon is a Double-Board Certified Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS) and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).Best,Dr. DesaiBeverly Hills Institute for Aesthetic Plastic SurgeryHarvard Educated, Beverly Hills & Miami Beach Trained, Double-Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Good Morning The postoperative process of breast implants is delicate. It is important to wait for the period of time necessary for a good recovery, then if you can insert your pearcing. It is good that you make an appointment and consult with a certified and experienced plastic surgeon to suggest the best indications. Always to serve you I wish you good luck ! Thank you for your question. Yes- get your piercings done first allowing for them to completely heal prior to your surgery in order to reduce your risk of infection. The piercings will need to be removed during surgery but can be put back in after your surgery.
if followed by an augmentation alone. If you require a lift and want your barbells horizontal, you may have to do that after the lift and then you run a small risk of an infection that could involve your implant.
you can have both. If you have piercings, then switch the metal rings for plastic during surgery. Metal may cause a burn during the surgery. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the great question. Nipple piercings are not a contraindication for breast augmentation. You will however have to remove your piercings for the surgery as the metal can interfere with the electrocautery we use. After the surgery is over you should be able to put your piercings back in and should be good to go! Best of luck!~Dr. Sieber
If the tract is well established, the piercings can be easily replaced after surgery. Plastic piercings do not really add any risk of burns, but I still remove them for sterility issues at the time of surgery then replace them once the procedure is completed.
Metal piercings will need to be removed during surgery because electrocautery during surgery could create burns if the metal is touched by electrocautery during surgery. However piercings can be removed during breast implant surgery. If you have piercing after implants it should be done steriley. I have seen terrible infections when improper piercing is done soon after surgery-wait at least 6-8 weeks after surgery if not done before.
