Hi. There is no study that shows that J Plasma/Renuvion cosmetic technology "fixes diastasis recti". Although still in its early stages, surgeons are exploring the applications to coagulate (thereby tighten) muscle fascia in the hopes that this may result in increased support of the abdominal wall (like a true repair). Certainly the tightening seen in the skin of some patients can make it appear as if they have had a true tuck. Be sure to talk to your PS about your expectations from this technology as more and more is being done with outstanding results!
Thank you for your question. As of right now, J-plasma/renuvion does not fix diastasis recti. EMsculpt has shown some improvement of this diastasis recti but we do not know how long the results will last. The only definitive way to treat diastasis recti is by surgically suturing the recti muscles back together during a tummy tuck procedure. I hope this helps!
Thank you for your question. To date, there has not been a study to examine the effects of Renuvion powered by J-Plasma on diastasis recti. The only treatment that I am aware of that has been shown to improve this condition is EmSculpt. This is a non-invasive treatment that uses electromagnetic energy to stimulate the motor neurons resulting in intense muscle contractions. Each treatment is 30 minutes and performed twice/week for two weeks (4 total). Each session is equivalent to 20,000 supra-maximal contractions. Studies have shown an 11% improvment in diastasis recti. In addition to building muscle, there is destruction of fat making this a very exciting body sculpting procedure. There is no stimulation of the sensory neurons or heat generation so this is not a painful procedure and you can immediately resume your normal daily activities. I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
