For tightening of the neck area, can you compare the J-Plasma/Renuvion with Ultherapy and Thread lifts?

Hello thank you so much for asking this question. Renuvion, Ultherapy and Threads are very different procedures. Renuvion is used for tightening and resurfacing on the face, but it should only be used subdermally in the neck. This means the probe is inserted under the skin so that the tightening can be achieved from the inside. This is a significantly more aggressive treatment compared to Ultherapy so the results are considerably better but there is some down time involved. You will have swelling and small incisions where the probe is inserted. These heal up nicely within a week. The Ultherapy has no down time at all but the results are subtle. The Thread lift is achieved by inserting absorbable threads under the skin. The threads have a barbed texture that allow the threads to anchor into the skin when pulled back. There could be some bruising with the threads. 

Great question.  In short, there is no comparison for skin tightening.  The Renuvion is the best by far!  Ulthera is an external ultrasound device that tightens skin, but usually the effects are subtle.  Threads add volume to the face, but the "lift" created by them does not last long. Renuvion tightens the skin from underneath and can be done in combination with liposuction.  This technology is the best I have seen by far.  The effect is dramatic and totally worth it!  Best of luckDr Rodman

J Plasma/Renuvion is quite powerful when it comes to skin tightening of the neck; Ultherapy less so. I personally do not believe in or use threads,however in my experience, they should not be required after J Plasma/Renuvion. If additional elasticity, tightening or contour is required I would add Profound RF
