Underwhelmed with facelift results. Are my expectations unrealistic? (Photo)

Female 63 years old 130 lbs White Deep plane facelift 9 months ago. I’m pretty happy with my upper face, but disappointed that I still have jowls. Is my expectation unrealistic? I’m reposting my question with 2 additional profile view photos. Thank you

I would recommend a revision facelift/necklift with possible facial erbium resurfacing to achieve a more aggressive outcome/look if that is what you are seeking.

Looks like the facelift did not completely address the jowls. This could be from the direction of pull or the amount of ligaments that were released. From your preop photos it looks like you had a bit of extra volume in the jowls and maybe liposuction would have been helpful and may still be. You may need a revision since this is 9 months out from surgery now to redrape the deep tissue to smooth out those jowls. I recommend seeing a board certified plastic surgeon to see what your options are.

I appreciate you sharing your photos to help better. Illustrate your concerns. In my opinion, your expectations for cleaner, jaw and neckline are NOT unrealistic. I can't comment on what surgical procedure was actually done and how aggressive your surgeon should've been or how  your anatomy may or may not have limited your desired result. It's reasonable for you to have a secondary facelift to improve your lower face in that contour. I recommend waiting a full year until you start that journey if you desire improvement.
