I have a lot of back and shoulder pain. If I stand or sit up straight for too long I get a lot of back pain. I also feel extremely uncomfortable in bathing suits, finding bras, and just clothes in general. I feel really uncomfortable all the time both physically and emotionally.

Answer: Qualify for Breast Reduction? If you mean would you qualify for insurance coverage, it is possible. Most insurance companies require that 500 grams of breast tissue need to be removed, and that usually equates to a DD cup. Also, they will want to know what you have tried to alleviate your symptoms, i.e. special bras, physical therapy, analgesics, etc. See a board certified plastic surgeon who will help you obtain pre-authorization for your surgery. Good luck.

Answer: Breast reduction I assume you are asking if you would qualify for insurance coverage for your breast reduction. Insurance companies look at two things when considering coverage: 1. the amount of tissue to be removed. By my calculation, you would easily qualify on this score. 2. Functional issues related to the size of your breasts. You have already outlined a few problems that you are having as a result of large breasts. I think that you would be an ideal candidate for a breast reduction procedure and I see no reason that you would be turned down by your insurance company.
