Are there any issues with getting SculpSure and having a Pacemaker?

Sculpsure may be performed safely in someone who has a pacemaker as long as the treatment area is not directly over the pacemaker. Sculpsure is a diode laser which willl not affect a pacemaker, unlike radiofrequency devices which can affect pacemakers. Pacemakers are usually placed in the chest which is not an area typically treated by Sculpsure. You should be able to have Sculpsure to your abdomen without issues. Best wishes.  

As long as the the sculpture applicators are not over the pacemaker, there will be no problem. The area where the pacemaker is place is usually far away from an area that would be treated. Radiofrequency devices, which is not the sculpture laser, could be an issue.

A SculpSure treatment should not be performed directly over the area of the body where a pacemaker is located, but there should not be a problem having the procedure done at another location on the body.

Thanks for your question. Electrical currents can interfere with pacemakers and therefore treatments passing an electrical current through the body are to be avoided. SculpSure uses laser technology at a specific wavelength to target fat cells. An electric current does not pass through the body.To be safe, it is always necessary to report your pacemaker before any treatment or procedure.

SculpSure is light and not electricity.Pacemakers not in the area of treatment will be fine and not affected by the laser light treatment.

Sculpsure is laser and does not have radiofrequency therefore it is fine to use with a pacemaker, just don't place it over the pacemaker.  Assuming the pacemaker is under the skin on your upper chest (the most common placement), then Sculpsure on you abdomen would be fine.  

SculpSure is completely safe if you have a pacemaker, you just wouldn't be able to treat in the area directly where it is placed.  I have treated patients with a pacemaker with no complications whatsoever.  Best of Luck!!
