Had an appointment at the Pali MediSpa for a Vitalize Peel a few months back. It turned out to be the best thing i could have done for my skin to get it started in the "anti-aging" process. Dr. Susan Chapman was so patient and knowledgeable and really gave me a great treatment that day. She made sure i was comfortable and that the procedure was working out fine for me. I would definitely recommend Dr. Chapman and the Pali MediSpa to everyone. Thank you
I'm starting to get 11 lines between my brows & had 20 units of Botox by Dr Chapman. Everybody there was friendly. The assistant asked what I wanted & so did dr Chapman. She didn't over do it & I was pleased with the injections. It barely hurt at all. They gave me an ice pack after & escorted me out a back door, which I thought was very cool. Will be back!
Ever since I was 11 years old I've noticed that my labia were different from most of my peers and I immediately felt self-conscious about it. I was at a week-long retreat and there were communal showers and I came up with every excuse possible to avoid it. This embarrassment in time only grew into a complex so great that it interfered with my relationships, compromised my self-esteem and willingness to socialize... I turned down any occasion that would require a swimsuit and as I got older, my labia got bigger and it began inhibiting me from wearing jeans comfortably, bike and horseback riding were out of the question, sitting down too long (like even in a movie) was (is) unbearable and sexual intimacy was a "lights off -don't touch" policy. I hated my body- the way it looked, the way it mace me feel, the physical discomfort it brought and the emotional havoc it wreaked on me every day. It wasn't just a flaw but rather a curse and a painful one at that. I had been searching for an affordable and reputable surgeon for quite some time but between finances and finding the right doctor with whom I felt comfortable with, I hadn't committed until my annual examwith my obgyn, Dr. Susan Chapman. She mentioned to me that my labia protruded 4 cms past my labia majora and that she could do this procedure if i wanted her to. I didn't even know she did those procedures!! I was excited and three weeks later, I had my procedure done under local anesthesia. I was soooooooo nervous about being awake throughout the surgery but she assured me that I would be fine and I wouldn't feel any pain. I was prescribed antibiotics, pain killers, nausea meds just in case and sleep medicine for pre and post surgery. The procedure was performed at her clinic at the Pali Women's health center in Kailua, HI. My day went like this... 12:45: arrived at the clinic, took the meds, numbing cream for the anesthesia injection was applied. 1:45: drugs kicked in, doctor marked my labia and injected anesthesia 2:00pm or so surgery began. I was awake and talking and aware. .. they were gentle and held a conversation politely and willingly with a freaked out chick on the table. :-) 3:30pm or so... sewn up. They let my Beau in and I got my underwear on with a pad attached to it and walked out with my own two feet. I was a little in and out throughout the day with the meds. 9pm I felt uncomfortable, took pain meds and iced the area. Saturday, the next morning, I stayed in bed watching movies, iced the area and took the meds on time. No real pain, just a little discomfort here and there. Day 3: Sunday, I walked around a LOT. Went to the supermarket, visited my grandma, drove, acted like a normal day. No pain, just discomfort here and there. Day 4 Monday (today) drove myself to work at my desk job. Sitting is uncomfortable, but I'm not in pain. The discomfort I feel would be equivalent with how it felt pre-surgery in tight jeans sitting down. No more than that. My area down there is by NO MEANS black and blue. I do, however, have some swelling and I have no idea what and where is what and where -everything is a bit confusing but my boyfriend was worried and amused when I yelled out "I CAN'T FIND MY CLIT!! I DON'T KNOW WHERE'S IT IS! !" He was like "everything is still swollen babe, it's gotta heal first!" Anyway- I'm at work- 3 days after surgery and I am functioning just fine. Dr. Chapman was incredible and I don't even really need the pain meds. If you want a great experience with this surgery, go to her! Photos to come after my post op appointment! Good luck and God bless, ladies! ! So happy I finally did it! !
Light based handpieces can cause eye injury. The risk increases with higher power settings. Both you and your provider should be wearing the appropriate protective eyewear that is specified for that particular treatment. Laser protective eyewear will not provide adequate protection with pulsed-light handpieces. Similarly, pulsed-light protective eyewear are inadequate for laser handpieces. Also, Whenever treating within the bony orbital area or the outer canthus (corner) of the eye, you must have the patient use internal eyeshields. Safety is a must.
Without pictures it is hard to tell, however, there are many factors that come into play like age, skin elasticity and other factors. As you age, natural collagen breaks down, resulting in wrinkles and loss of volume. There are a few collagen treatments for different parts of the body that you might benefit from. For hands, you can do a filler like Radiesse, which is a volumizing filler that will give you an instant lift by filling your wrinkles and folds to help restore a more youthful look to your skin as it continues to work with your body by stimulating the natural production of collagen. It gives a smooth and natural look in just one treatment. Temspure Envi is another alternative for your arms and legs by delivering a radiofrequency to gently heat your skin and give you a temporary "tighter" feeling and look. Over time, it helps your own skin to create new collagen, which will give you tighter, younger looking skin. As long as you have realistic expectations about your final results, hopefully, you will be satisfied.
I am very sorry you had that experience. Based on the pictures, it looks like your thermal injury is limited to the epidermis and you have a first degree burn. You should apply a Hydrocortisone cream to help alleviate any irritation. That will also help protect it and relieve some of the minor itching that usually is associated with this kind of burn. Please call the office you had this procedure done ASAP. They should see you right away to assess the burns and start treating you. Depending on the severity of the burn, they might start you on a triple antibiotic ointment combined with a non-steroidal medication. Once you are healed, you can start to treat the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation with some kind of skin lightening creams, sun avoidance and possibly lasers are also great for that. From the looks of the burns, there is severe gapping between each placement of the laser hand piece, which tells me that this a very poor treatment. There should be a slight overlapping of the laser hand piece to make sure that every area has been treated. Then the hair will be growing back in patches. Between that and of the course your burns, they should compensate you. Once you are healed and if you choose to continue to do laser hair removal, find a certified and trained technician. Wish you the best of luck
There is the Tempsure Envi which is a new radiofrequency treatment that minimizes wrinkles and tightens the skin as well as produces collagen It works great in the eyelid area. It is safe for all skin types and requires no surgery, needles or downtime. You can continue your normal routine post treatment. Another bonus is that it is not a painful procedure.
Your picture is really hard to see, however, if you had the Botox more than a week now, you should contact your injector and follow up. You possibly need a filler to smooth that out. Botox is not a overnight fix for that. Best of luck
