What can I do about uneven breasts at 5 months after implants? (photos)

acceptable result, remember, breasts are sisters, not twins. Overall you have a reasonable result, chasing the little difference between the two could and might only bring about problems.

Thank you for your inquiry and photos. I always suggest my patients having the massages done, it helps bring down the implants into their place, also prevents future capsule contracture, You can try doing the massages 2-3 times a day and see if it helps bring down the implants. Best of luck.

Dear Lindzdude,    Thanks for submitting your before and after pictures. From observing your pictures , it appears that your right breast is noticeably larger . Were your implants even, as far as size ?  Also, the right crease is noticeably higher , which can be a sign of capsule contracture.   5 months after surgery is a little late for implant displacement massage, however it is worth doing it for 2-3 months , with the hope that it will avoid surgery - capsulotomy (scar release). I have seen patients improving their capsule contracture  with intense implants displacement massage massage. However, if you have severe capsule contracture due to  'Biofilm' (bacteria on the implants and in the capsule) , you will need to have capsulectomy (scar excision) and replacement of implant.   Your best option ( financially ) is to follow up with your surgeon and evaluate your option with him according to his physical  finding and recommendation.                             Best of luck,                                                Dr Widder

It usually takes about 6 months for patients to achieve a final result. Massage is unlikely to change things now. Continue to follow up with your surgeon and discuss options to optimize symmetry when appropriate.

Thank you for your question and photographs.  Remember that some asymmetry is quite normal and that the final result of a breast augmentation procedure should not be judged until a full 4 to 6 months.  My advice is to follow the recommendation of your plastic surgeon regarding breast massage.  Best of luck.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  At five months it is unlikely that you will have any further significant change to your breasts' appearance and I would review all of your preoperative and postoperative photographs with your surgeon to voice any concerns. Women's breasts always have some degree of starting asymmetry which can become magnified with implant placement.  Hope this helps.

IN the bikini top, your breasts appear quite good and symmetric.  Outside the top, you do show a little asymmetry, which in my experience is very common.  I always tell my patients that the breasts are sisters, not twins.  If you have concerns, you should speak with your surgeon about options.

I think you have a very nice result. You should always follow what your surgeon recommends as he was the one you entrusted to do the operation in the first place. 
Having said that.... i am a big fan of massage and breast strapping. I think it allows for better accommodation of the implant in the pocket( subpectoral space). It also allows the breast tissue and skin to conform better to the implant. This is more of an opinion. I dont think gentle massage would hurt, however five months after surgery is probably to late to make a difference. Nevertheless, you have a nice result. Congratulations and Best Wishes. 

No two breasts are exactly the same and yours are no exception.  They look pretty good as is and you probably are better off not trying to "chase" the slight difference by having additional surgery.
