Answer: Fat roll Hello. Based on your photo, you have moderate to significant amount of fat. Options include liposuction, liposuction with neck lift, and Kybella injections. All these have their advantages and disadvantages. It's best you see a board certified surgeon for in office exam in order to learn what will work best for you. There are factors that can't be obtained from a photograph that only an office exam will obtain (i.e. skin elasticity, your neck anatomy and hyoid position, etc). With a good exam, your surgeon will be able to provide options and set the right expectations for results. Take care.

Answer: Fat roll in neck If your skin elasticity and quality are good, you might benefit from liposuction, which most surgeon are able to do under local anest without need for a hospital visit. There's also a medication called Kybella coming to market for injecting the area of fullness under the chin, it might be a good option for patients.

It would be helpful to see full face and neck pictures from front and sides with the head and neck in a neutral position. The safest and best way to lose body fat is through proper diet and exercise. However, sometimes it is very difficult, even with these measures, to eliminate fat from some areas of the body. Everyone's body stores fat in different areas. Liposuction of the neck with, or without, a neck lift would likely provide the best result, depending on your age and skin elasticity. I would suggest a consultation with a board certified surgeon experience in face and neck rejuvenation to determine the best treatment plan for your individual case.
