After 2 kids and weight flux the past 20 years I was left with a large amount of excess skin on my abdomen. After several consults with other surgeons I knew immediately Marvel Cosmetics was the place for me. The service from consult to post surgical care is nothing short of perfection. Dr. Marvel performed my fluer de lis tummy tuck and at 3 weeks post op he has delivered and exceeded my expectations of what plastic surgery can and should be. Dr. Marvel and his staff are hands down the best in Nashville. I have had a flawless experience, Dr. Marvel and his entire team go out of their way to communicate every detail of your procedure, answer every question, really listen to you and explain your option and most importantly ASK you what you want. I could not be happier with Dr. Marvel or his team and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
I have been wanting bigger boobs for a long time now but finally taking that step now. Had my consultation with dr. Marvel a couple of weeks ago and booked my surgery in June. I really wish I could do it sooner though but excited nonetheless. I am 5’8”, 160lb, and Dr Marvel suggested 420 cc saline for me. I have been researching and think isn’t that going to be too big? I wonder if I can ask for 400cc instead.
IV sedation. Totally knocked out the little thing. Don’t remember any of it. Easy to come out of. Pain medication definitely necessary. I asked Dr. to be aggressive and he was. Happy with results so far. 600 mL in each cheek. I’m guessing maybe 300 will stick. Given how flat my butt was before, I’m happy with that. Trying to be realistic. Doctors and staff are great. Available for any questions I have. Happy so far. Will post more as recovery continues. Updated on 16 Apr 2021: Sore, but out of the fog. Swelling going down. I see the direction I’m headed and I am thrilled! Also, why did it take me this long to discover a female urinal? How did I survive life without this up til now?
My experience thus far as been nothing short of excellence! Prompt professional service in a comfortable caring atmosphere. I have been treated at other places in the past and Marvel is 100% the best!
has been 2 months since my mommy makeover; after 3 children and 120 lb weight loss 9 years ago. A year of researching doctors, I chose Dr. Marvel and so thankful I did. I am more than pleased, and that is an understatement. In my researching Tummy Tucks; I was very concerned about the pain that was to come after surgery and I was shocked that I was pain-free the entire time. He did outstanding surgery. The office workers, nurses, and doctor all got along like family. Learning how long they have worked for Dr.Marvel told me something is good about it there. My figure is looking better every day. I love my breast and hor natural they look and feel. My husband calls him Dr.Marvelous. With the Tummy Tuck, my lower back no longer hurts. One of the best parts is when I stand up my clothes stay in place and I don't have to re-adjust my clothes over the skin. Even my legs look better and a little smoother. Dr.Marvel and his team are exceptional!!! I am so glad I have found my cosmetic surgeon.
I would just like to say that I had my BA July 9th. I am beyond satisfied with my whole experience from the very first phone call up until this very moment. Everyone seems to enjoy their job and is very helpful no matter how big or small their role is. I never felt rushed and was given very good information and always listened to. I felt at home. The cost is very reasonable. I feel they operate to satisfy clients not for money. I’ve waited many years to have this procedure and I’m glad I waited and found the perfect place for me. My recovery is going just as they said it would. If I were to have more work done hands down i would come back to see Dr Marvel and his wonderful staff. Very nice environment and very classy people.
Im 5’4” 115 lbs and I’ve had 3 children. I was left with quite a bit of loose skin after having kids so I decided I wanted a mini tummy tuck. My Dr also did muscle repair. Surgery was 9 days ago. It’s definitely been painful, but each day it gets a little better. My skin is much tighter now, but I am still very swollen. I am waiting for that to go away. Once the swelling is gone, I think I’ll be very happy with the results. I’ll post before pictures and afters once more swelling is gone. Updated on 18 Jan 2019: Here’s a before... I’ll add more later and once swelling is gone, I’ll add my afters Updated on 18 Jan 2019: Updated on 2 Feb 2019: At 2 weeks I finally started feeling better and now at 3 weeks, I feel pretty normal. I’m still a little sore but it’s manageable. The scar is already fading and looking great. Most of the swelling is gone as well. My stomach is flat and only has a little bit of loose skin. Updated on 5 Mar 2019: I am now 8 weeks po. Everything is back to normal and I’m able to do everything like I did before. Results still look great. I’ll post another before and after. I don’t regret the surgery at all. I do still have some loose skin but it’s WAY better than what I had. Updated on 23 Jan 2021: 2 years later and my mini tummy tuck is still looking great. I have also finally fixed my tattoo and covered the scar. You can’t even tell I had a scar there now.
2 years post op... and they still look amazing. I’d like to go bigger, but that’s the only thing I’d change.
Dr. Marvel and his staff were friendly, knowledgable, and amazing! He did an amazing job on my breasts and knew exactly what I needed done! Very short and virtually painless recovery with the helpful staff there to answer every and all questions I had. I got amazing results. Definitely recommend Dr. Marvel and his team.
Amazing facility, service, staff, and over all experience. The hand holding through each step of the process made a world of difference to set realistic expectations with no surprises. This helped me to prepare and ease the anxiety I was having from never having any form of previous surgery. Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly. Anytime I had a question I called and was given a prompt answer. My surgery results were beyond my expectations. I wouldn't go any where else and would recommend Dr. Marvel and his staff to anyone!
Most experienced transplant surgeons offer both surgeries. There are specific indications of why one may be superior to the other. It is true that FUE thins out the donor area, but this can also be the case with repeated strip harvesting procedures. I think if you need a significant amount of hair transplanted then the FUT is the best way to go. Only a consultation can determine the best procedure for you. Thanks for your inquiry.
When I see a patient like yourself, I work up their sinus issues by obtaining a CT scan, sinus endoscopy, and allergy testing. Based on this, we then offer them a rhinoplasty along with corrective septoplasty and balloon sinuplasty (if indicated). A good part of the procedure is covered by their insurance. We then charge a component to them personally for the cosmetic rhinoplasty. In this way we can improve appearance and breathing issues with one surgery. You should seek out a dual board certified surgeon in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic or Cosmetic surgery to address your concerns. Thanks for the question. This comes up a lot.
This should be addressed by your injector. There could be various things going on which are beyond the scope of what we can address on Real Self. In the meantime I will give you an easy do it yourself possible remedy. You can buy over-the-counter Naphcon-A. This drop is a sympathomimetic (stimulates the sympathetic nervous system) which is used as a decongestant to relieve redness. It also stimulates a muscle in your eyelid that raises the lid by way of the sympathetic nervous system. This may give you just enough elevation to get you through this period where you feel the lid is drooping. Sometimes that sensation is gone in a couple of weeks. It's worth a try until you get in and see someone.
It takes several weeks if not months to see the final results from blepharoplasty. 3 weeks is way too early to judge. Your scars will be swollen and edema will remain in the upper flap for sometime. Try to be patient and allow the healing process to complete.
It is best to repair a broken nose in the first 2-3 weeks. After a couple of months it doesn't really matter how long you wait. The nose has already healed and will have to be re-broken either way. So waiting longer at this time will be no big deal. If we can get to them at the 2 week period it is perfect. Often times the nose will"snap" back into position without bleeding or excessive bruising or swelling. That's the best time for future reference.
