Ive recently had a BBL. I'm 5'7 and weighed 140lbs and was asked to gain at least another 12lbs. My Dr never took my bra fat, and my back fat. I said i'm happy to excerise it off, but my Dr said he thinks i'll need extra lipo in 6months. I'm not sure if he's wants to make more money out of me, but it seems that way, as I dont understand why i still have rolls of fat on my back. He said its a tricky, and the skin is thick in that area. I had no pain in that area but did on my waist/abs.
Answer: Lipo + BBL candidate Thank you for your question. To provide a valid medical opinion I will need to see pictures of you body from different angles. I would suggest to be treated by board certified plastic surgeon with experience in this procedure, to get the best desired results. Respectfully,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

Answer: Back rolls
Yes, I think you can get rid of them on your own. Your doc is simply wanting to get you to your desired goal as quickly as possible. Don't forget, his offer is an elective option, not a medical necessity where money is being extracted from you against your will. When you're done paying is completely up to you. Sounds like you need to not do the operation if you're having these thoughts.

Answer: Brazilian butt lift and back fat
This is really a question of liposuction. The quality of the skin determines the amount of contracture that can take place after liposuction. In order to have a chance to contraction of the skin you must do a superficial liposuction of this back fat. This fact is different in the fact that it's very fibrous and difficult to remove.
In my hands I can usually make improvement in this back fat. How smooth the back gets depends on the skin if the skin is good tone it will get very smooth it is very loose and soft it will improve but it may not get flat. Physically what I do during surgery to try to get this in the contract is to use very narrow cannulas so I can get very close to the skin irritate the skin and get more skin contraction.Thick-skinned usually contracts more than thin skin
You can look at my profile or my website to see the changes in the back roles. In the back some go away and some are just better.

Answer: Body contouring
The decision to determine the areas harvesting the fat via liposuction for buttock augmention / lift has to be determined before going into surgery by you and your plastic surgeon. If the fat around the bra line and back region were not worked on for the buttock lift surgery, and you feel you can work it off with exercises, then that is exactly what you should do. I think your surgeon is only making a recommendation from a surgical standpoint. Of course, there is money involved in performing the surgery. So, if you feel you can remove the fat from exercises, then this is exactly what I would encourage you to do, more power to you. Congratulations for sticking to your decision. If then later on, you feel you still have problems in those areas, then maybe you may consider surgery to help remove those stubborn areas.

Answer: Back Fat Left Over After Lipo and Brazilian Butt Lift
Your questions is actually several questions in one. You are asking if the back folds should be eliminated by the liposuction/harvest of a Brazillian Butt Lift, if gaining fat before a Brazillian Butt Lift is effective and if your doctor is ethical or trying to extract (no pun intended) more money from you.
Here is my opinion. Fat cells are mini-storage rooms which represent your overall caloric balance. If we eat / take in more calories than we burn by exercising, these calories will be turned into fat and stored in our fat cells throughout our body. The moment we stop eating and continue burning calories, the fat leaves the fat cells and people lose weight. (Look at pictures of slave laborers during the Holocaust - NONE of them was overweight or "big boned"). How does this apply to you? What is the logic in asking you to ARTIFICIALLY gain weight to puff up your fat cells to have fat-filled fat cells to transfer to your buttocks if you plan on returning to an active life style associated with exercise? You will lose the weight and fat along with the volumizing of the buttocks. I do not ask my Brazillian Butt Lift patients to gain weight. If it's not there and they are at their desired weight, it's not there.
As regards the back folds. I cannot comment on what you and your doctor decided. A Brazillian Butt Lift is NOT extreme, discounted liposuction AND volumizing the buttocks. It rather is harvesting as much fat as is needed to create a change and then transfer it to the buttocks. Unless your surgeon promised you that he would focus on the back folds, I really would not demand that he deliver 2 operations for the price of one.
Personally, although it reduces my potential work load, I always think my patients should adopt a healthy life style and exercise BEFORE they have liposuction. Liposuction should not be a weight loss method. It should be the final touch in sculpting and removing resistent fat pocket which exercise did not take care of.
