Answer: Showering after FUE Hello,Congratulations of your hair restoration. I would check with your surgeon first about his/her protocol for showering after FUE. I have my patients shower the day after the procedure but not with aggressive rubbing or high pressure initially. Most surgeons will have you wait 10-14 days before resuming normal showering. Again, I would be sure to check with your particular doctor first prior to showering or rubbing your scalp.Best of Luck with your healing!Dr. Rednam

Answer: Showering you can start to take normal shower after 1 week directly under the shower to remove all the scrubs. For every doctor the post up process is different so it is better if you ask your doctor

Answer: 3 days no water pressure on the grafts at all. And no TOWEL!! I tell my patients to take a shower the night after the surgery but only use a cup of water to pour water on the head. No pressure at all this way. After 3 days they can resume using normal shower pressure and also use their fingers with shampoo to start softening up the scabs. Also keep the scalp nice and clean. The main goal of showering is to get rid of the serum that leaks out of the recipient sites as well as the grease that comes out of the oil glands of the scalp. Both act as nice nourishment for bacteria. Like ice cream. Washing it away once per day reduces the bacteria count by millions. Lower chance for pimples and other infections.

Answer: Shower after FUE You can use shampoo 48 hours after surgery and, then, every day during at least one week. Use a ph-balanced shampoo: put some water and shampoo in a plastic recipient and start to massage your hair, the grafted hair and the scar with your fingers and thumb. To rinse your hair, during the first days, pour some water over your head using a receptacle. On the fifth day after surgery, you can use directly the shower jet on your head. As regards the donor zone, the suture must be regularly and energetically washed (using a small brush for example): this will avoid crusting, which impedes scarring and the removal of stitches. If you wish, you can start cleaning the donor area from the first night onwards in order to remove any traces of blood.
