I would like to receive a rhinoplasty to obtain a more defined front profile. However, I really like my side profile and don't want it to be compromised. I attached photos of me from the front and side and some noses that I like. Can this be achieved for me? Would the nose type suit my facial features? I'm insecure about the indentation on the right side of my nose that causes asymmetry and crookedness. I also dislike the way my left side is sort of bulbous (as if to correct for my right side)
Answer: Rhinoplasty Hi @DerekR. Thank you for sharing your photos. I recommend seeing an expert rhinoplasty specialist for an in person examination. There are options for you that can be determined after examination. Best of luck, Dr. Nima

Answer: Can your nosebe thinner and straighter? Your nose appears wide and crooked. These issues can be addressed with a combination of rhinoplasty and either septoplasty or Cartlidge graft or both. As to how thin and fine it can be ,particularly in the tip area, will depends on how thick your skin is.

Answer: Rhinoplasty expectations Thank you for your questions and photos. Yes, you could achieve more detailing and better symmetry with a rhinoplasty procedure; however, the extent of this would be determined by an in-person consultation during which your tissue, cartilage, and skin could be evaluated. You have good bone structure and correcting the crookedness and lack of definition would very likely be aesthetically beneficial. Nonetheless, it is important to have realistic expectations. No two sides of the nose are ever completely symmetrical, and while they can be made more similar in surgery, complete symmetry might not be achievable. I recommend consulting in person with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and expectations, and to determine if rhinoplasty surgery is right for you.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Goals Yes-- I think your goals are really realistic. I really like your profile, and in fact, I like your nose from the frontal view as well. Selfies distort your image, especially the midface (the nose in particular)-- I can see the deviation from the above photo, so I would need to evaluate your nose in person to see what is causing the deviation (nasal bones, septum, cartilages, etc.). The photos you selected are achievable and would like nice on your face, and are not too far off from where you are starting. For that petite of a nose, you may want to consider your chin, as they need to be in balance with each other.

Answer: Are my rhinoplasty goals realistic The Photographs demonstrate a convex and concave side of the nose. Depending on what's causing the issues , you may or may not be a good candidate for rhinoplasty procedure. If there is very thick skin in the tip of your nose, you're not a good candidate. If this is crooked nasal bones and upper lateral cartilages with thin skin, then a rhinoplasty can be entertained.
