Thank you for your question upcomingvsmodel. You seem to have a round or bulbous tip. Tip refinement surgery can be a good alternative in your case to reach the desired result. Please keep in mind that a medical evaluation is necessary to determine the best course of action as well as to determine if any functional work needs to be done.
It would be a travesty to operate on you and create a nose like the models’ because it would not look proportionate, nor would it look natural on your face! To create a sophisticated rhinoplasty that will continue to look good on you when you are 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and older, one must take into account your facial width, eye shape, cheekbone prominence, lip size, and all of the angles that define your face. I perform a tremendous amount of rhinoplasty surgery, and I always enjoy helping patients achieve realistic expectations. Your “wish” pictures are indeed helpful, but they should not be the blueprint of your new nose. Certainly your tip can be refined and made more balanced with the rest of your face. I recommend that you consult in person with a board certified plastic surgeon with decades of experience in rhinoplasty surgery.
I think you can get pretty close, however it would depend on thickness of your nasal skin. I think your nasal bones would need to be brought in just a little to match the dorsal aesthetic lines of you new tip. Best Wishes!!! Nasal surgery can be such a great little tweak on the body.
Thank you for your question. You are an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty, I think it is one of the most beautifying surgeries that we do as plastic surgeons. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to rhinoplasty surgery. It is important to only see plastic surgeons with extensive experience in rhinoplasty, ie perform at least 6 per month and have performed hundreds of cases. Also, critically evaluate on-line galleries to see if their art form resonates with yours. Rhinoplasty is definitely a grey haired plastic surgeon's sport. Best wishes to you.
Dear upcomingvsmodel,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would get good results after rhinoplaasty. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Your nose can be reduced and narrowed. Maybe not like the models you show whose odes are almost certainly photoshopped
How thin can your nasal tip be made? The nasal tip consists of Cartlidge below and overlying skin. During nasal tip surgery some of the tip Cartlidge is removed and in some cases the remaining tip Cartlidge may be manipulated or sutured. How thin the tip ultimately gets then depends on how thick the overlying skin is. Since the skin is not cut during surgery it must shrink on its own to conform to the reduced underlying cartilaginous skeleton. Thinner skin will shrink more and quicker than thick skin, so ultimately how thin your tip gets will depend on how thick your skin is. This can only be evaluated in person. Your tip can certainly be made thinner, but how much thinner depends ultimately on the thickness of the overlying skin. For people with very thick skin who do not get sufficiently reduced tips , Cortizone may be used in some cases to further aid the shrinkage of the overlying skin.
Hi,Thank you for your question. We will take into account your expectations. On the other hand, if you have the some nose type following surgery, you can not breathe (Total Obstruction). So, your new nose would a natural nose, compatible with your face. Best. OprDr. Cem Altindag. The Nose Clinic
Hello. It sounds like you’re having a frustrating experience with the changes in your nose after the second cortisone injection. While cortisone injections (often steroid-based) can help reduce swelling and scar tissue after rhinoplasty, they do have some potential risks, especially with r...
Hi, thank you for your question. As far as I see from the images, we should perform an open technique nosejob to refine the (saggy and bulky) nosetip (with a possible slight projection?) as well as nosebridge/axis deviation&wide side bones. Regards. OprDr Cem Altindag
Hello, and thank you for your question. While it is normal to experience difficulty in breathing after rhinoplasty (the inner lining of the nose may be swollen), it should only be temporary. In your case where you are still experiencing breathing problems at 10 months post-op, there may be other...
