I have disliked my nose for a long time and have been considering cosmetic surgery. What would be recommended to improve my facial harmony?

To create a more harmonious balance in your face, we would perform an open rhinoplasty to soften your nasal tip and rotate it cephalically, as well as slightly shorten your nasal length. At the same sitting, we would place a small implant in your chin through an intraoral incision. This would restore the proper proportions of the middle and lower thirds of your face.

Thank you for your inquiry! When evaluating the proportionality of the face, we look at how the upper third, middle third, and lower third relate to one other. The middle third of your face has a modest prevalence, in comparison to the upper and lower thirds, with a slightly lower nasal start. You have lovely facial features! You don’t *need* anything! However, if you wanted to harmonize your face a bit more, there could be room to address how far your nose protrudes. However, I’m not 100% certain of this because it is difficult to assess via photos because cell-phones camera certainly distort images. If this assessment were verified by an in-person consultation, surgically telescoping the nasal tip to decrease projection could help, as well as addressing the lack of columellar curve on side view. I suggest consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon with years of experience in rhinoplasty surgery. To find one who is a “good fit,” you might want to the before-and-after photos, and when you find an aesthetic that matches your own, schedule a consultation with that particular surgeon. Look for a variety of results that look natural to each patient.
