For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.
This bump from Restylane Silk is a small amount of filler that is too superficial. It can be easily corrected with a small injection of medicine that will dissolve the filler. This can happen to the best injectors. I hope this helps.
Hello there! Restylane Silk is a very soft product that can occasionally collect in a "puddle" with movement of the treatment area. You could wait a few more weeks to see if this resolves with time, or you can see your provider earlier for resolution with a reversal agent. If this area doesnt bother you, you can also leave it alone, and this should slowly be absorbed with time. Good luck! Cheers! Sarah RN BSN
Thank you for your question! The picture isn't very clear but what is clear ids that it id not a blocked vessel. This would make the skin very discoloured and cause lots of pain. It is like a bit of product that is clumped superficially and can easily be melted with Hyaluronidase. Best of luck!
This palpable bump that occurred after your recent lip filler injection sometimes occurs as a temporary event. Simple massage with Vaseline or a favorite cream 3x/day for 10 minutes per session. Alternatively, Hyaluronidase can be injected to erase the hyaluronic acid filler. Usually if Restylane Silk is slowly injected into the lips it can create a beautiful result of lip enhancement that looks both natural and shapely lasting about 9 months.I hope this is helpful to you.Steve Greene MD
Best to return to see your injecting MD(?). Might need a drop of HA dissolver or just a need open of this residual HA filler just under the red mucosa. This can occur in any injectors hands..

I can't really tell from the photos but it is likely product that is suoerficial. If it is large enough Vitrase can remove it . It is not clogged vessels. That would cause necrosis and you would have pain and discoloration of the skin
It's hard to tell from your photo, but what I see is most likely Fordyce spots. These are small (1–5mm), slightly elevated yellowish or white papules which are common on the lips and can occur elsewhere on the body also. Fordyce spots are a variant of sebaceous glands (the glands that normally produce sebum and are usually found within hair follicles). They are present in 80–95% of adults and they are easier to see when the skin is stretched. Perhaps the slight 'stretch' of the filler placement and/or swelling is making them more visible to you. They are completely harmless. Best,Lisa Vuich, MD
Hi beachgirl35, A blocked blood vessel will become apparent quickly because of the pain and swelling that accompanies it and is felt soon after the injection of the filler - not a week later. Fillers (including Restylane Silk) when injected too close to the surface can cause "lumping". Granulomas, a reaction to a foreign substance can also cause lumps. Injection of hyaluronidase can be quite effective. All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.
