Restylane Silk for lips, 1 ml or 2 ml? Should I do the borders outline only? Or the middle of lip? (photos)

Thank you for your question about Restylane Silk for lip injections.  Restylane Silk is a wonderful option for lip fillers, along with Juvederm Vollure and Volbella.  I typically advise starting with 1 ml, then wait approximately 3 weeks for all swelling resolve.  Reassess at the 3 week mark to determine if another 1 ml is desired.  To be sure, see two or more experienced, licensed and board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment.

This will ultimately depend on your desired results. Most Doctors will start with one syringe to avoid over-filling. It takes 1-2 weeks for final results with lip injections. Implants or fat are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Restylane silk is a great filler for lip lines but would consider Restylane or Juvederm to add lip volume.   Juvederm Volbella is the newest FDA approved filler for lip lines.  It does a great job at softening lip lines without the bulky or puffy appearance. It is best to begin with 1 ml. You have beautiful lips so that would be an excellent start for you. Best of luck!

Your Luis are beautiful.   I would recommend doing just the outline of your lips.   Restylane Refyne can give you a similar look to that of Silk. I often start out with one syringe of filler and go from there. I often start along the white roll and also place in the  muscle . IT really depends upon the patient's desires.
