Thank you for your question about Restylane Silk for lip injections. Restylane Silk is a wonderful option for lip fillers, along with Juvederm Vollure and Volbella. I typically advise starting with 1 ml, then wait approximately 3 weeks for all swelling resolve. Reassess at the 3 week mark to determine if another 1 ml is desired. To be sure, see two or more experienced, licensed and board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.
This will ultimately depend on your desired results. Most Doctors will start with one syringe to avoid over-filling. It takes 1-2 weeks for final results with lip injections. Implants or fat are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question. There are many great products for lip filler. Restylane silk is a great filler for lip lines but would consider Restylane or Juvederm to add lip volume. Juvederm Volbella is the newest FDA approved filler for lip lines. It does a great job at softening lip lines without the bulky or puffy appearance. It is best to begin with 1 ml. You have beautiful lips so that would be an excellent start for you. Best of luck!

Hi Jenn,Your Luis are beautiful. I would recommend doing just the outline of your lips. Restylane Refyne can give you a similar look to that of Silk. But, Refyne will last longer. Start with one ml and you can always add more in the future. Watch my video below which explains outlining vs. volumizing filler techniques. Good luck, Dr. Onir
I often start out with one syringe of filler and go from there. I often start along the white roll and also place in the muscle . IT really depends upon the patient's desires.
Thank you for your question about swelling after lip injections with Restylane Silk. It is very common to have anywhere from mild to significant swelling after injections with hyaluronic acid fillers to lips. HA fillers are very hydrophilic and hold onto water and fluid like a sponge. Thi...
Hello Montana.Your swelling is significant and not unusual. I usually recommend lots of icing and to avoid massage with Silk. You can speak with your injector about your concerns and see if they approve Arnica to reduce the swelling.Best wishes,
Asymmetric lip swelling after fillers could be a hematoma or bruising within the soft tissues of the lip or could be asymmetric placement of the fillers. Swelling is common after fillers to the lips, and typically gets worse the day after the injections are performed. NSAIDs are not recommended ...
For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest...
Hi Jersey1027, You are fine to begin trying. While pregnant you should avoid the use of botox or fillers, but it is fine to become pregnant after the fact. Best, Dr. Paquet
Extreme swelling after Restalyne Silk injections tends to be pretty usual especially if injected on the lips. In our office, we get patients started on a Medral pack right away as well as an antihistamine like Zyrtec and that seems to make the swelling a bit better . You may want to cal...
