I see before/after rhinoplasty pictures and the tip always looks nice and lifted. Are you able to accomplish this without a graft? I'm scared of getting a graft because I've heard it can warp/move. Also, does ultrasonic rhinoplasty lessen the risk of developing a pollybeak deformity? If not, what can a surgeon do to prevent this from happening in a thick-skinned individual? And, Does ultrasonic rhinoplasty lessen the need for steroid injections? I've heard that thick-skinned individuals need steroid injections to lessen edema.
Answer: Rhinoplasty Surgery Rhinoplasty, surgical instruments known as rasps and osteotomies (hammer and chisel) are used to reshape the nasal bones by removing the hump and/or narrowing the nasal bone width. These tools are relatively imprecise and their use can lead to contour irregularities, etc. if not used in the proper manner. Recently, a technology that uses sound waves has been developed to contour nasal bones in a precise and far less traumatic way when compared to traditional techniques. Ultrasonic, or Piezo, Rhinoplasty is now the most advanced technology available for minimally traumatic nasal bone reshaping and hump removal during Rhinoplasty. There will be hardly any bruising and swelling which will make the recovery period a lot easier for the patient.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello, thank you for your questions.First of all , nasal tip surgery and any soft tissue surgery have nothing to do with Piezo surgery. Piezeo is only used to shape bones. Therefore, neither pollybeak nor in thick skin, Piezo does not help. As an answer to your other question, only a good and experienced surgeon knows how to handle with a thick skin. If special techniques are performed to the thick skin, you will not have any Pollybeak or any healing problems. Therefore, what is important for you; To find a good doctor who deals with thick skin, please research this. I have many publications and scientific articles, especially about this subject. If you wish, you can check our case examples..You need to have a detailed examination and face analyse to get customised treatment plan, be sure that your surgeon is professional board certified facial plastic surgeon. Best Regards,

Answer: Rhinoplasty surgery Cartilage grafts are used commonly in rhinoplasty surgery to help maintain results and to support the function of the nose when structures are weakened or reduced. i would invite you to focus less on techniques and focus more on what concerns you and then allow the surgeon to tell you which technique will achieve that result in his experience. As in life, there are many "right" ways to do things and some technologies like lasers, ultrasound, endoscope and robotics are simply used for marketing.

Answer: Can you reshape a bubous nasal tip, or do you always need a graft? The bulbous nasal tip is reduced with conservative cartilage removal and suture techniques applied to the lower lateral cartilages of the nasal tip cartilages themselves. placement of a graft in the nose may or may not be required if there's a small indentation in the nasal tip. Grafts do not warp and move around. Steroid shots are used to prevent a poly beak deformity, and are usually required in thick skinned individuals.
