How long do I have to wait after Bichectomy to do a rhinoplasty?

I'm 31 years old, healthy. No medical conditions. I'm doing a Rhinoplasty Dec 10th and I was wondering if is OK for me to do a bichectomy 5 days prior?

Buccal fat reduction or Bichectomy can be carried out under local anaesthetic with sedation or local anaesthetic. As such, there would be little interference during 5 days prior to her rhinoplasty.

This would be under normal circumstances but now we are in the middle of a pandemic. In this context, many doctors consider it safer if patients self-isolate for a number of days prior to a general anaesthetic apart from doing the COVID tests. This reduces the risk of COVID around the time of a general anaesthesia which is perceived as an enhanced risk.

You should discuss this with the surgeon that we have chosen to do the rhinoplasty to make sure that this risk aspect is suitably considered.

You may have rhinoplasty 5 days after your bichectomy (buccal fat removal.). You should make sure with your rhinoplasty surgeon.  Good luck and be well.
