How long after rhinoplasty can I wear a face mask?

You can wear mask after the surgery. I suggest you to wear your mask upside-down for a while, so the soft part will touch the nose area (not the metal part).

I would recommend you to wail for 3 weeks after your surgery to have any type of treatment on your face or any mask.

You would need to ask your surgeon about your specific case. Personally I let patients wear a mask at two weeks

every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

I would suggest that you find a surgeon certified by the American Board of American Plastic Surgery and one who is ideally a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) or facial plastic surgeon (otolaryngologist) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon iand follow all of her/his instructions.

Thank you for the question and I would ask my surgeon as he knows what he is doing and when it should be safe for you to wear a mask. That said if the mask chosen does not put pressure on the nose there may not be any problem after your splint is removed
