You are a perfect case for chin augmentation.Being an option, chin implants and fillers have serious disadvantages, specially inthe mid and long term, patients are rarely happy with them after 5-6years, all are out by then or later.Consider the chin advancement by means of sliding genioplasty, the advantages are:-lifetime procedure, no more revision or renewal procedures-more natural than implants-no visibility of implant edges during gestures-improvesthe double chin effect at the sub-mental muscles (floor of mouth)hammock caused by lack of tension there; also improves the shape andtension of perioral muscles; implants do no offer this feature-horse-shoe enhancement, covering the chin and also the jaw sides of it-no future displacements or neuritis of mental nerves-practically zero infections and 100% healing of bones-noneed for complex plates and screws that may need future removal; juststeel wires synthesis may suffice, they stay buried into bone callusThe cons are:-expensive, but cheap if you consider the lifetime pros-technicallydemanding, few surgeons are experienced or comfortable (though Ipersonally perform 100% of the chin augmentations by this osseousmethod, always after offering the patients both options)-scary for the patient (though not so much if you explain well the stuff around it)You'll find in this website dozens of negative experiences with chin implants in the short and mid term, do read my profile's Q&A and you'll find them too. I am doing sliding genioplaties for 15 years with the highest success and no one patient regreted, totall the opposite, I did many chin implant removals and one staged sliding genioplasties to replace them.
I agree and think your chin is a little weak. I would recommend a chin implant, probably a Terino implant made by Implantech. The Terino has a little added squareness and is perfect for males with a weak and slightly pointy chin. I often combine this with a little spot liposuction to give you even better chin/neck definition. These are placed through a small submental incision that heals in a way that it virtually disappears over time. We generally recommend 3D imaging prior to surgery to make sure you and I both agree on the size of the implant and the amount of projection you want in the end.
Microgeniais the medical term used to describe a small chin. Correction of your smallchin would be very easily accomplished using a properly selected chin implant. It can be placed through a small incision inside the mouth are under the chin. Not only will it bring your facial features into greater balance, but it willalso give a nicer contour to your neckline.
The photographs demonstrate a weak chin profile, also known as microgenia. A Silastic chin implant can be inserted to augment the mandible to balance the chin to the projection of the nose to help with facial balance and proportions. Chin implants are manufactured in a large variety of shapes and sizes, and can be inserted through a submental approach under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure. For many examples, please see the video and the link below
The picture is consistent with microgenia. This can be corrected with an implant whose size and shape are based on your deficiencies. Your neck structures are very anterior giving a very short submental area. This may be fat or normal anatomic structures like your windpipe and voice box. If it is fat, it can be treated by liposuction.
Your appearance would be enhanced by a chin implant combined with contouring of the neck by liposuction or other methods. The result should give you a more commanding look.
A chin/jowl implant combined with liposuction of your anterior and lateral neck will improve chin projection and definition of your jaw line.
Hi, based on the photos your chin is quite weak. Chin augmentation, with a chin implant, can add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the lower face. I have performed this procedure many times over the past 30 years and have forund a silatic chin implant procedure to be safe, quick and highly effective. Placing a chin implant is far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty IMHO. Hope this helps.
