HIV positive - Can I have a deep plane facelift?

I am 55 years old and I am looking to possibly getting a deep facelift in a couple years. My question is that I am HIV positive since 18 years old. I’m extremely healthy never been ill. I am on medication and I have an undetectable viral load. Are plastic surgeon is going to have issues with this.

There's no reason that you can't have a facelift. With great health and no viral load, a well performed facelift should work very well for you. Be sure you see a facial plastic expert for consultation.

Being HIV-positive with an undetectable viral load is NOT a contraindication to having a facelift. You can safely undergo a facelift or any other elective surgery with proper evaluation and routine precautions.

The simple answer is that there is no problem performing a deep plane facelift in a patient with HIV. I have performed many over the last 24 years. We just want to make sure that you are healthy and in a positive metabolic state at the time of surgery.

Hi Thank you for your question, and yes you can absolutely have a Deep Plane Face and Necklift.  I have performed Deep Plane Facelifts on HIV patients in the past without any issues.  As long as you are medically cleared by your physician, you should be fine.    All the best
