Hi Is the recovery time for nostril reduction ONLY less than a regular nose job (breaking the bone). Will the nose be "packed up" after nostril reduction? Or can one breath normally right after surgery.

Answer: Nostril reduction Thank you for asking. A nostril reduction can be an easy recovery. Frequently sutures need to be removed a few days later. 1 week may be all that's needed for much of the recovery depending on a patient's lifestyle and work. Individual cases vary. See a board certified rhinoplasty trained surgeon. Good luck

Answer: Recovery time for an alar plasty The alar plasty procedure Involves narrowing the nostrils by removing a small wedge of skin at the base of the nostrils. Digital computer imaging would be helpful to understand what can be accomplished with the procedure. This can be performed under local anesthesia and usually involves a few stitches. Most patients are able to return to work in a few days after the surgery
