Hi! I'm bothered that my nose is crooked (tilts to one side) and the tip looks very round. I don't like how the tip goes way further down than the sides of my nose. When I smile, it looks even droopier. I don't mind my side profile too much but I do have a slight nasal hump and would also like the height reduced a tiny bit. I'm looking for subtle changes where I still look like myself but improved. What procedures would you recommend and could I obtain subtle results while fixing my concerns?

Thank you for your question. Steroid injections for swelling are generally administered by a very fine-tipped needle in order to localize their effects. The goal is for the steroid to only address the swelled area and not other features of the face.

Empty nose syndrome after rhinoplasty: I have never had a case of empty nose syndrome after a rhinoplasty, nor have I ever heard of a patient developing empty nose syndrome after a standard rhinoplasty without septal work or turbinate reduction. I can’t imagine how or why that would occur.
Definitely ask your surgeon--how long they want you to wear the nostril retainer will depend on your particular case and what was done. I typically do not have patients wear nostril retainers after rhinoplasty, because they can be uncomfortable and of course are an obvious sign of surgery, and...
