When I brought my concerns to my surgeon he said this is due to poor skin elasticity. To me it just looks like uneven lipo. He said the only way to fix it was to get arm skin removal surgery. Is that true or is he just not wanting to admit fault?
Answer: Liposuction results Dear djlewis816, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Arm lipo Sir, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. You will need to get a clearance from your doctor prior to surgery. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. To evaluate this, we need your surgical history and detailed examination. Omer Faruk DEVECİ, MD Certified, European Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Turkish Society of Plastic Surgery Member

Answer: Arm issues A physical exam would be required to accurately answer your arm question. From the photos, it appears that a touch up liposuction may resolve many of your issues, but the skin must be evaluated first. Dr. Taranow

Answer: I received liposuction on my arms and the results look uneven to me. Is this normal? Thanks fr the 1 posted photo, more photos of both arma=s at different angles would greatly help. But I think you were NEVE a lipo of the arms candidate, because you had excess skin to begin with. Now ONLY brachioplasty revision surgery can effectively improve the appearances. But there will be a scar. Fees $10,000 ranges. Best to virtual consult with....

Answer: Liposuction results In order for us to make an assessment on the outcome of a procedure we need to see proper before and after pictures including both sides. If you don’t have your before and after pictures then ask your surgeon to forward the ones they took. There’s no way to know what was done if we don’t know what you look like before the procedure. Delivering consistent quality Liposuction results is more difficult than most people believe. Being board-certified in plastic surgery with an overall good reputation is insufficient to confirm someone has mastered body contouring with Liposuction. Encourage anybody interested in Liposuction to carefully vet and compare plastic surgeons to find the most experienced and talented provider in your community. Do that by having multiple in person consultations. doing consultations ask each provider to show their entire collection up before and after pictures of the procedure and anatomic area you’re interested in. And experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you 50 or more sets of before and after pictures for the procedure you’re interested in. Highly experienced providers will have hundreds or even thousands. Sing a handful of pre-selected images which most likely represent the best results of that providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider. Compare results among different providers and continue having consultations until you feel quite certain you found the most talented provider. Else to recommend patients read all reviews on various physician review websites avoiding providers with any significant number of justified negative reviews. The absence of justified negative reviews is more telling and more important than having an abundance of positive reviews. At this point if your surgeon is not willing to address your concern you can except the results or schedule a formal in person second opinion consultation. to be prepared for a second opinion consultation you should bring with you copies of your before and after pictures and a copy of your operative report. All of these are part of your medical records and will be forwarded to you if you request them. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
