Will lipo from my upper back help my waist to look smaller? (Photos)

AliceI appreciate your concern, however I think that you are on the right track. Since you were looking for that hourglass figure, I would recommend liposuction of your lower and upper back and perhaps your abdominal region, but leave your hips and flanks alone. Many varieties of liposuction are available including ultrasonic, smart lipo, laser liposuction vaser lipo, power assisted liposuction, and conventional tumescent liposuction. The results depend very little on the method used and very much on the board certified plastic surgeon selected.
Your shape will be determined by how the surgeries are performed, how much tissue is undermined, how much tissue is removed, how much fat is extracted, etc. The key here is not the procedures performed but how these procedures are performed. Most patients get an immense benefit with maximal liposuction of the abdomen, sides, and back to obtain the smallest waist possible and then maximal fat transfer to the buttocks and hips.

you can get a more shapely figure with liposuction and fat grafting. you will need a HD liposculpting expert as this is not traditional liposuction.
You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best.  Traditional liposuction awake and smart liposuction are old methods and do very poorly for tightening skin or significant skin tightening or contouring.  Small problem areas can be improved slightly by these methods.  The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heat the skin with radio-frequency devices such as J PLASMA/RENUVION, InMode BodyTite, ThermiRF to heat the under surface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HIDEF VASER contouring and can only be done by a well . trained body contouring specialist. At the same time fat should be harvested, PRP and stem cells added and injected into muscles or indentations/cellulite to get body shaping and contouring.  This is known as a Brazilian butt lift when you inject the fat to the buttock for contouring and lifting, but fat can also be used in areas such as the chest/breast, arms/shoulders, calves and face.  Cellulite should also be treated with cellfina, sculptra, subcision and/or fillers such as bellafill, renuva synthetic fat, or sculptra.  If skin is very loose before surgery then it will need to be removed such as lower abdominal skin (tummy tuck/abdominoplasty), breast skin (breast lift), arm skin (brachioplasty).  Overall you need a full assessment, but simple liposuction alone will not tighten skin and needs a combination of various methods -- fat removal, skin tightening, defining, fat grafting, skin removal -- to get the best in body contouring and body sculpting.  Dr. Emer.

It appears as though you should get both...liposuction of your upper back and waist.  This way, you will achieve a more hourglass figure and sculpt your upper back to match.  It may also lead to a more balanced look for your figure.  Liposuction is great for many reasons!  The incisions are tiny, the recovery is about a week, the pain is minimal, and the results can be maximum.

Great question!  In order to have a slimmer waist, I would recommend having liposuction to the waist and lower back as well.  You have some fullness in this area that would benefits from volume reduction with liposuction to improve the contour of your waist.Best of luck and hope this information helps!

It is better to consider liposuction of multiple areas in order to create smaller waist; inner thighs seem to need very conservative treatment. Your skin elasticity/tone is something that should be considered in preoperative evaluation/discussion with your surgeon. Good luck.
