Will 360 lipo help at all? Should I start with a full TT or lipo first and then a TT due to downtime? (photos)

So I know for a fact I have diastasis recti (I’ve attached photos) but I’m just wondering if I should start off with a full tummy tuck (due to how much down time it is) or should I start off with lipo then go back for a full tummy tuck when I have time to chill (I only can afford to miss 1 week of work) I had a 9lb baby & he is now 14month so I just would like my body back looking good but also want my back fat gone so I wanted to know if u think 360 lipo would be at all beneficial.

For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction, which can be performed at the same time as a tummy tuck, depending on skin laxity. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF/J Plasma/Renuvion/InMode BodyTite and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. Hi,Thanks for the question. When I look at your pictures, it seems to me that a tummy tuck (with lipo) would be the best treatment for you. Liposuction alone would result in continued loose skin and muscle of the abdomen and would not give you an aesthetically pleasing result. Hello and thank you for your question and sharing your photos. I don't think there is definitive right or wrong answer to this question. Generally speaking, Tummy Tuck can 360 lipo/BBLcan be done spontaneously in selected group of individuals. Recovery time is around 1-2 weeks. Alternatively, you can have the Tummy Tuck first, and come back and do the 360 liposuction/BBL at a later stage. Thank you for your question and photos. Based on the photos and information, if you were my patient, I would do VASER liposuction 360 degrees to reshape your body first. I would consider VASER lipo on the arms too to match your reshaped, more youthful body. Your abdomen will look worse, but you will have significant skin retraction. At a future date, when you can take more time off, you will need a tummy tuck with muscle repair. The advantage of doing your surgery in stages is that you will have a short low abdominoplasty incision instead of a long incision if you choose to have the tummy tuck first.See a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques for an in person consultation/evaluation. Thank you for your question and photos. Each surgery is individually tailored to the needs of that patient. You will need a tummy tuck, but if you have future pregnancies planned, you should wait until you are finished having children. A tummy tuck does require more down time than lipo, but you can have both procedures done at the same time. I would recommend an in person consult with a board certified plastic surgeon, who can discuss your goals and future plans so together you can come up with a surgical plan that makes that most sense for you.

Based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Liposuction alone would only remove excess fat and leave you with loose skin and muscle separation. You can get a liposuction now and once you are fully healed get a tummy tuck surgery. Some plastic surgeons might offer to do both procedures at the same time. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Concerns about the appearance of the abdomen are very common among patients consulting with a plastic surgeon. Just like every patient is different…so too is every abdomen. Different problems require different solutions. Your board certified plastic surgeon is uniquely trained to identify the problems as well as the appropriate solution.
The abdomen is commonly addressed via liposuction or abdominoplasty (“tummy – tuck”). Which procedure is best is dependent upon the source of the problem. 
Excess fat deposits underneath the skin can be addressed via liposuction. Liposuction will not address any other issues and may worsen the situation if there are other factors at play (such as skin excess and muscle laxity, see below)
Commonly patients concerns are centered around issues of excess skin as well as fat. A third factor, which is often overlooked by most patients is abdominal wall muscle laxity (typically seen in post partum mommies).  The tummy tuck, also known as abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure designed to eliminate excess skin and fat and tighten the muscles in the abdominal wall to create a smoother and slimmer contour. The tummy tuck is designed to target areas of the abdomen that have not responded to diet and exercise, making it particularly popular among people that have a lot of loose or sagging skin around the abdominal area due to significant weight loss, as well as women with excess skin and stretched abdominal muscles following pregnancy and childbirth. 
With regards to your specific question, while both interventions will play role, the choice of order is dependent upon your goals. If you contract your abdominal muscles maximally (i.e. "suck in"), you will be able to assess the available fat for suction (without the laxity and skin excess factoring in). There will be an improvement but not necessarily the flattening you may have in mind. Additionally, liposuction in the setting of skin excess will (at least temporarily) worsen the appearance of the abdomen. Thus you may want to consider BodyTite or other RF heating modality as an adjunct to minimize/mitigate some of this risk.
As always discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).

If you plan to have additional children, I would postpone the TT.  BodyTite does not remove any fat, but it is capable of producing a 45% contraction in tissues.  It can be combined with liposuction to improve contours dramatically.  Bruising and swelling can occur post-op.  Results can be seen immediately after one treatment and are more evident over three to six months post-treatment. Wait until six months to fully evaluate the aesthetic results.  Sedentary activities can be resumed in two to three days and full activity with exercise within two to three weeks..
