I have open hole around areola. I had surgery 2 weeks ago. I changed strips last night. What's wrong? Please help me (Photo)

I understand your concern. While it is common to have a superficial separation of the wound at the incision site (i.e T junction) following a breast augmentation/lift surgery, this must be closely monitored and make sure it does not become infected. You should follow your plastic surgeon's post operative wound care management instructions.

If you are concerned, it is best that you visit your plastic surgeon to have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Thank you for your photos and sharing your concerns. You appear to be spitting out your areola sutures. You need to see your plastic surgeon and have them make a diagnosis and treatment plan for you. Additional antibiotics may be required. Good luck. Dr. ALDO 

That type of opening is not uncommon. Make sure you have notified your plastic surgeon. The main concern would be if the implant surface were exposed underneath. So visit your surgeon and follow all directions. Best wishes. 

Thank you for your question. Your wound is very common and most of the time, it's a stitch that did not dissolve and made it's way out. The best thing to do is to follow up with your provider. The hole will close up on its own and things will heal as they need to. Best of luck!

Based on the photos and context provided, it is most likely an area of delayed healing and removing the steri-strips removed the superficial dead tissue to expose a small hole.  Small areas like this usually heal on their own with routine wound care.  I would ask your surgeon regarding his/her specific preferences for management, but usually keeping the area clean, putting some antibiotic ointment on it, and covering it with sterile dressing material should suffice.  Hope this helps!

The photos you provide appear to demonstrate a small healing delay at the incision. As it appears that you underwent a  circumareolar lift, there may (or may not) be exposure of the Benelli suture (if used). I would recommend an evaluation by your surgeon in the near future as you require a regimen of local wound care.
