Thanks for your question. Many times, just placement of an implant will cause the nipples to be a bit more prominent. Alternatively, there are procedures to surgically evert the nipples. This could be done at the same time as the augmentation, if desired. Best of luck.

Many women with mild degrees of nipple inversion find that the appearance of their nipples improves after breast augmentation surgery. This is because the implant expands the size of the areola and places pressure against the ducts connecting into the nipple. I would recommend you have the breast augmentation surgery first, and consider corrective surgery on you nipples in the future if they don't improve.
Thank you for your question and photograph. Correcting inverted nipples is a fairly simple procedure that can be done in an office OR under just local anesthesia. It is not very painful but, as a result of the procedure that includes cutting the ducts, you will not likely be able to breastfeed.

I think you will be fine. I do not think that the tanning bed did anything. My guess is that you developed some swelling because of the etanning and that caused the nipple to become relatively inverted. You might have type I inversion all along.
