I have an inverted nipple and it bleeds how can I stop it?

It is not normal to have bleeding from a nipple, whether it is inverted ot not. You should see a General Surgeon who specialises in breast surgery. If you live in a larger city, there will probably be several hospitals in your area that have dedicated breast centers.

If you recently developed inverted nipple, you need to see your local doc as soon as possible. Causes of inverted nipple are mastitis an inflammation, breast cancer or congenital. It would be best to get a breast examination and a mammography if appropriate. An inverted nipple can be corrected by plastic surgery, but the cause needs to be analyzed. Good luck....

What you are describing, an inverted nipple that is painful and bleeds, is definitely NOT normal. These may be signs of an underlying breast malignancy and you need to be seeking consultation with your primary care provider, OB/Gyn, or surgical breast oncologist. Inversion of the nipples that has been present for years and is not symptomatic is quite common and is something that can be corrected with a small office procedure by your plastic surgeon. 

You stated the nipple bleeds and is discolored.  See your GYN or Primary Care physician.  A mammogram may be required as part of the exam.  There is a procedure to correct the inverted nipple that can be done in an office setting.
