I had a thigh lift last year and I'm really pleased with my inner thighs. My outer and back of my thighs still have loose skin and my plastic surgeon recommended lipo on outer thigh and LBL. Is this the same procedure that you would recommend to address my concerns?
Answer: Liposuction Thank you for your question and pictures! In my opinion, liposuction would make the skin more lax. I think you would be a great candidate for Morpheus8 to to your full thigh/ lower buttock area. Morpheus8 is a micro needling treatment that will tighten the skin and improve overall skin texture. I recommend that you do 3 treatments 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results. I would recommend that you schedule an in person consultation with your provider. Best of luck!

Answer: Circumferential body lift with flap augmentation Based on these photos and short of in person evaluation, it appears that body lift including lateral thighs and buttocks, would solve some of the problems with skin laxity and lack of volume. Redundant skin flaps that would be discarded in the lifting faze can be used as a filler to provide volume and shape to hips and buttocks. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon, with known expertise in this area, is recommended. Good luck.

Answer: Thigh laxity Dear Adventurous540577, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Outer thigh laxity Based on your photos, you are a candidate for lateral thigh and buttock tuck, which transforms your body!you are an excellent candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). The optimal BBL outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee

Answer: Lower extremity liposuction Individuals with flabby thighs do better with procedures addressing skin laxity rather than subcutaneous fat. One easy way to differentiate is to put the skin under tension by lifting up on your skin above the area of concern. do this while looking in the mirror, have someone else take a picture or use the timer on your camera. if the contour is significantly improved by putting the skin under tension and that is how much skin laxity is contributing. when fat is the problem they are you doesn’t change much by pulling on the skin. If that is the problem then Liposuction is the solution. If the greatest improvement comes by putting the skin under tension than skin tightening procedures will do better. I’m not sold that you need outer thigh Liposuction bud without doing an examination it’s a little hard to give a quality assessment. To assess the thigh we need to see it in context with your torso. The determination if someone needs outer thigh liposuction has a lot to do with how the thigh looks in comparison to the waist. If you’re happy with the work your surgeons doing then continue working with him. Generally speaking delivering consistent quality Liposuction results is more difficult than most people believe. lower extremity liposuction is more challenging to get quality results than other areas. The key is to differentiate if contour is created by skin laxity or fat distribution. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
