Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
For a more defined jawline to strengthen your profile (and help prevent the dreaded jawline "jowl" sagging), we use injectable fillers like Revanesse Versa - a filler known to limit swelling and give subtle, soft enhancements - or Radiesse. Using a cannula to limit pain and swelling, we inject on the bone in strategic points to get more lift and shaping, resulting in a more contoured lower face and defined, structured jawline. I would suggest getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Surgical options for a neck have to address the fat below your skin. The muscle laxity. The deep structures under that muscle which include the submandibular glands, the digastric muscle and the fat between them (interdigastric fat). I believe that a board certified plastic surgeon can help guide you in this process. A more definitive and comprehensive procedure can be done through a small incision below your chin. There are a few options in between. In the end you need a good physical exam so a plan can be catered to your needs. I see a small left sided scar on your neck. Assuming that is a spinal fusion that shouldn’t be a contraindication to any above procedure. Happy to discuss your needs and goals further. You need someone to create a comprehensive plan to achieve your specific aesthetic goals.
A few small things together would add up to a great result in you. A small chin implant, a very specific filler to help accentuate the mandibular angles and border, and submental liposuction would really sharpen your jawline while still looking proportional and natural.
You have a deep mentolabial fold which indicates that your chin is short in the vertical plane. I would recommend a sliding genioplasty to lengthen your chin with a slight advancement. This is done simultaneously. A chin implant would deepen the fold and does not provide an increase in height.
thank you for your question and posting appropriate pictures. You seem to be a very good candidate for Jawline definition using injectables this is otherwise called a Y lift. These injections are placed on your bony structures to accentuate them, and have a very natural look. Additionally, you may benefit from buccal fat pad, excision to bring more definition to the lower part of the face. It's best to have a virtual consultation initially to discuss options, of course.
I think, for you, a chin implant can be done right in the office. This will move your jawline forward giving it a nice line, and, should improve some of the fullness under the chin. I'm not worried about radiofrequency for you, as the metal you have will be very low (based on your scar), but, a chin implant is going to be a safe, in office, no metal procedure that will be very enhancing.
Dear Tessymaria77,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would be a good candidate for chin lipo. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Your side profile photograph demonstrates a recessive Chin profile, so consider placement of a chin implant to augment your chin forward for better facial balance and proportions. In our practice, we place chin implants through a submental incision under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure which takes approximately 30 minutes.
You would be a good candidate for a chin implant with a small amount of submental liposuction. Alternatively, you could utilize fillers to build up and define the chin and jawline. Oftentimes a combination of both is helpful.
It is true that swelling can last a long time, but the only person who can really tell you what is going on is your surgeon. I recommend following up with your surgeon. I get that it is easy to post on here and many docs may chime in with there advice, but the only reliable advice would be from...
Dear emmam47, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper...
Volume and contouring of the cheeks can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Radiesse, Bellafill, Contour) and Sculptra. Implants or fat are alternatives. Botox and radiofrequency can help slim and contour the jawline. Liposuction can help slim the face. Ultherapy, J Plasma and rf...
