Can liposuction bring used on the actual chin? I hate my chin it looks like a giant U when I smile but my actual chin bone is not large. So I wouldnt need the bone shaved down.
Answer: Liposuction Yes, liposuction can be used to remove excess fat under the chin and improve the contour of the jawline. This is a common technique used for patients who have a double chin or excess fat in the submental area. However, it is important to note that liposuction is not a substitute for weight loss and is best used for patients who are at or near their ideal weight but have stubborn pockets of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise. It is also important to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to determine if you are a good candidate for the procedure and to discuss your desired outcomes.

Answer: Chin liposuction The chin pad itself has very little fat and is not amendable to liposuction. The area beneath the chin has fat deposits and liposuction is commonly performed here. In cases of a prominent chin, the options are usually bony reduction or chin shaving with a chin "tuck" of the soft tissues. Photos would be needed to give you more advice.

Answer: Chin liposuction Hello, And thank you for the question. It is difficult to answer you question without seeing photos, but typically small amount of neck and chin liposuction can be safely performed under local anesthesia to help improve jawline contour and definition. However, this also depends on individual patient's pain threshold and tolerance. Performing liposuction under general anesthesia typically allows for more aggressive and precise liposuction, and improvement of chin and neck contour. I suggest that you seek an in person consultation with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon in order to discuss your goals and concerns for the best cosmetic results. I hope this helps.Best regards, Dr. Karanetz Dr. Irena KaranetzFellowship-TrainedBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Liposuction Dear Sacramento4651, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Assessment and treatment on the lower 1/3 of the face Facial aesthetic issues related to the lower one third of the face and neck especially on younger people it’s almost exclusively determined by the size and shape of the mandible and its relationship to the Maxilla. The chin has virtually no subcutaneous fat amenable to removal through Liposuction. An excessively prominent chin is best cheated with a chin reduction. Without pictures we can’t make an assessment. A chin reduction is somewhat complex and it’s probably more commonly performed by oral surgeons than plastic surgeons. Before considering any treatment it’s important to get a high-quality assessment to have a clear understanding of what the underlying problem represents and have a clear understanding of all treatment options. Correct treatments should be based on first having an accurate diagnosis. Liposuction is not done in that part of the face and it’s unlikely it would deliver the type of results you’re hoping for.
