Do you recommend I wait until after I have children to get my revision rhinoplasty?

Does getting pregnant within a year of rhinoplasty affect the healing and results? I'm trying to decide if I should wait to get a revision rhinoplasty until after I have children even though I would like it done before my wedding.

Hello and thank you for your question. You can time your revision procedure either before or after your pregnancies. However, if you want to improve your appearance for your wedding, I would encourage you to schedule your surgery now. Choose a very experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon for your procedure. Revision rhinoplasty is a complex procedure that requires a great deal of artistry, technique, and expertise to get it right.

Pregnancy can caused increased swelling of the nose so it would be best to wait at least a few months after revision rhinoplasty to get pregnancy.  It will not cause any major problems
though.

The short answer is probably that it doesn't matter. However, my guess is that putting it off until after you have children will result in not having it for a very long time because of the increased work, expenses and commitment you now have! I would think that if it's something that bothers you, you should do it sooner rather than later so that you can enjoy the results now and be happier with your wedding pictures!

It is certainly acceptable to perform your revision rhinoplasty either before or after having children. Revision Rhinoplasty is a very complicated surgery, so  choose your surgeon very wisely
