I've been researching nosejobs since I was 13. I've read that there is something called a tip plasty, which they only deal with the tip of your nose. I have no problems with my bridge. I don't have a bump, and my bridge is actually quite thin and small. My problem is with my tip, which is not proportional. I'm going to some consultations wiring the next few months, just wondering if I would be a candidate for tip plasty?

Answer: Rhinoplasty Rhinoplasty requires exceptional skill on behalf of the surgeon and great communication with the patient about realistic goals and expectations. Common cosmetic concerns include a dorsal hump, wide nose, sunken nose, irregularities, and asymmetries. Functional concerns include difficulty breathing through the nose, which can and should be addressed at the same time as your rhinoplasty. You might benefit from tip defining procedures using either cartilage grafting or suturing techniques that would harmonize your nose and create a more natural, elegant look. Make sure to seek out the care of a board certified surgeon with extensive experience in rhinoplasty. Find someone you connect with, who will listen to your concerns and provide you with a framework for what is possible. Gary Linkov, MD

Answer: Tip Rhinoplasty Thank you for your question, and I believe you would be a good candidate for a tip rhinoplasty. The upper two thirds of your nose appear normal and a tip rhinoplasty would reduce and adjust the tip to match the rest of your nose. I would recommend you see a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in rhinoplasty and wish you luck.

Answer: Tip Rhinoplasty Hello and thank you for the question! All Rhinoplasties are uniquely tailored to the recipient, however you will want to make sure to book a consultation with a board-certified surgeon who has specialized in ethnic nose rhinoplasties. The most important goal with these procedures is to maintain a natural looking nose that fits your face as well as your goals. Good luck!
