I got Rhinoplasty with rib cartilage 10 months ago. However my nose is still not high enough and I think it little short. How long do I have to wait to get revision Rhinoplasty? Is it true if the longer I wait (about 2-3 years) the more skin I will have? Can revision Rhinoplasty help raise my nose bridge higher n longer? My original nose was too flat and the 1st Rhinoplasty already built my nose bridge a lot but I want it higher so is it possible if I want to archive a higher nose in the 2nd Rhinoplasty
Answer: Want higher nose?"? Seek out a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon with a vast experience managing Rhinoplasty patients-and you will find your answer. One would typically want to wait at least one year following your previous rhinoplasty before entertaining the notion of revising previous work-and as you have suggested-sometimes the skin envelope can be the limiting factor to increasing the size, height or projection of a nose. As you are apparently based in Portland-you may want to see the best Rhinoplasty surgeon in Oregon to get a world class opinion-that would be Dr. Tom Wang. Good luck to you and your new nose !!!

Answer: Revision rhinoplasty Revision rhinoplasty is complicated and demands exceptional skill on behalf of the surgeon and great communication with the patient about realistic goals and expectations.I would wait at least 1 year before another rhinoplasty. You may be running out of your own tissues to use for structural reconstruction. Perhaps ear cartilage can be used next time for a turkish delight approach if not done already. Make sure to seek out the care of a board certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in revision rhinoplasty. Find someone you connect with who will listen to your concerns and provide you with a framework for what is possible. Gary Linkov, MD Facial Plastic Surgeon in Manhattan

Answer: Consider Non-surgical Revision Rhinoplasty, Temporary or Permanent Raising a bridge without surgery is one of the best uses for fillers, temporary of permanent. At this point after surgery, it may be the right time but that decision rests on a complete and very thorough exam. You may well be in a good situation whereby you have a choice between surgical revision or non-surgical revision and so now is the time to discuss with your surgeon or seek second opinion consultation.Best wishes.Robert Kotler, MD, FACSBeverly Hills, CA

Answer: Building nasal height after 1 procedure Hi there, It is possible to add height to your nose after one procedure has been done. However, you need to be examined by a board certified plastic surgeon to ensure that you have adequate soft tissue to accommodate additional tissue. I'm not sure how much waiting will help your tissue expand; on the contrary, it may continue to shrink wrap down to the underlying tissues. What does the original surgeon think? Would you ever consider injectable rhinoplasty with fillers to "fine tune" your result? Warmly, Dr Zelken

Answer: Revision rhinoplasty You should be able to raise the bridge at this point. However, lengthening the nose is a different issue. The skin gets tight and contracted after surgery and 18 months is usually the minimal time you need to wait. Even at that point, the skin may not permit lengthening. There are other things that can be done. Seek out an opinion from a board-certified expert in revisions. Best wishes.
