I had a original rhinoplasty where a gortex implant was inserted but was not happy with the result and then went back to get a revision, the doctor shaved down the implant but I am still unhappy with the results - I have decided to get the implant removed but have been advised that this may cause the nose to collapse, how accurate is this? as I would just like the implant removed and nothing further to be inserted. What are the chances of this happening? Thankyou in advance ...

Answer: Gore-Tex removal in nose. Will it cause my nose to collapse?
Yes, you need a revision. Too much cartilage was removed on the top or too much bone was left leaving you with a dorsal irregularity.Feminization is a particular set of skills and surgical techniques that not everyone is familiar with.Take a look at our videos to learn more.
Tip necrosis, which is what I presume you mean, is very rare (fortunately!) With each subsequent rhinoplasty there's more disruption to the blood supply of the nose and if too little blood is able to reach the tip skin, the tip skin will die (necrosis). This is something that can be noticed...
It is best to wait a year for your swelling to come down so that you can really evaluate what is swelling, what is poor placement / position, and what needs to be done (if anything) to fix it.
