My nose is getting bigger and bigger after rhinoplasty. I’m 8 weeks post op. Will my side profile reduce in size?

You have to give yourself some more healing time.  Your nose and surrounding areas are going to be swollen for a while and you should be consulting the surgeon that performed the procedure. However, give yourself some time before going back in so some of it can subside. It can take up to a year for final results.

With any nasal surgery, the name of the game is patience. At one week, we would expect you to have quite a bit of swelling and bruising still noticeable and may have trouble breathing out of one or both nostrils. By the end of two weeks, typically, you will still be swollen but look more like you have a bad cold, rather than post surgical. Swelling can take up to a year to be completely gone, however, by 9 weeks you will look very good and should see big difference from your pre-op pics.

You must be patient and give your nose time to heal. Revision rhinoplasty takes longer for the swelling to settle then a primary rhinoplasty. In either case eight weeks after surgery is still very early in this process. Please be patient and continue to follow up with your surgeon.  I hope this helps. . Dr. Ardeshirpour 

At 8 weeks post op it is too soon to judge your result.  It can take a year to see the final result.  It would be helpful if you post before and after photos for comments.  Follow up with your surgeon so he or she can monitor your progress.
