How can I get rid of this punch biopsy scar? (photos)

Hi there! I am 23 y/o and have this scar right below my belly button. I have never shaved my stomach, but the one time I do I get an ingrown hair! I went to the Derm and they said they needed to do a biopsy to be sure. A punch biopsy. Now I have this scar. The bunch was done Sept 2016 and it's now Feb 2017. They did not put in any stitches. Part of me thinks it healed so dark because of blood. What can I do? Laser? Hydroquinolone? Stitches? Thank you for reading and your advice!

This spot can be improved with a combination of lasers, Aerolase, microneedling/prp, skin lightening, peels, and skin care. Sun protection is essential. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an acne scarring expert. Best, Dr. Eme

Thank you for sharing your question.  Though nothing replaces an in-person examination, after a year's time a surgical scar revision is likely your best option at obtaining a better result.  One that leaves you with a fine line scar without the hyper pigmentation seen in your picture.  See an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon in consultation for the best treatment advice.
