Can a diode laser remove a pigmented scar? What kind of laser and settings would be needed to remove a small, pigmented scar?

I had surgery to remove some ovarian cysts and the surgery went well but now I have two noticeable scars on my lower abdominal area about 1cm each, non-raised. They are, however, noticeable as they are darker than the rest of my skin. Can a diode laser remove them? Would LLLT help to get rid of the pigmentation?
