I had a tummy tuck in January 2024. My belly button scar was thin and then I noticed the areas where my stitches were started to become bumps. Then my whole scar became thick/ rope like with a few weeks. I was told by surgeon to go to a derm for steroid injections. The injections worked but they worked too well and destroyed the good skin around my scar. I dont know what to do any laser center says they can only help the redness not texture. So is it possible to help my scar with laser?
Had a benign Spitz mole removed 8 years ago. Last year a small blister/lump scar appeared at the top of the incision. This has gone, and has left a red mark on top of the original scar. Id like it lightening, removed if possible. Any advice welcome.
I have these scars on my face - I'm not sure what the cause. I'm referring to the wavy texture parts and not the ice pick scars. I can only see them under certain lightings. What caused it and what are the most effective treatment/procedures for it?
Long story short, I was burned by a laser 6 months ago. I went to a cosmetic dermatologist and had microneedling with prp to help it heal. (3 months into the injury) I believe the prp helped but now I have scratches and marks Ive never had before. I know they are from that procedure. My problem is professionals denying that this can happen, of course I was told nothing can happen & it did. Will a micro laser fix surface scars? Or is there a risk of worsening texture?
I have mix of can scar types notability ice pick scars, boxscars. I have had the Quattro ( subscision, filler, tca and laser) session with dr rullan two years ago. Id say I saw a bit of softening in the scars but not much filling of them. I also found my scarring to remain red even after the two years ( when I tan, they still remain red). In any case, what is the next best step
I am 4 months post-op with a botched upper blepharoplasty. I realize the incision is too high. I also healed poorly and my incisions opened. I'm devastated by the results. Truly depressed and trying to hide. It's embarrassing. I don't think I have enough skin for a revision. But how can I live like this for the rest of my life with thick scars indented across my eyes? I'm only 41. The skin isn't smooth and makeup only highlights the deep indents. Will laser treatment help? C02? If there are any doctors in the New York area that can help me- Please- I'm desperate.
Im a 71 years old female. I had my blepharoplasty 9 months ago and my scars are still raised, red and noticeable. Ive heard laser may help with my situation. What kind of laser would that be? Any other procedure? Thanks!
Id like some advice. I have indentations from a scar or fibrosis due to fat transfer to my chin 10 months ago. It started as a large scab for about 2 months, then healed into the current indentations. The plastic surgeon had PRP injected once in the area of the scab and did micro-needling with PRP all over my face the second time. After the scab fell off, I had another PRP injection in the area. Since then, I've been using scar tape and scar gel Biocorneum. The area has improved over time. Ive also heard retinol or tretinoin might help and lasers. A dermatologist mentioned CO2 laser and VBeam yet I dont know much about it nor if its worth. Any advice?
Hi there, I was in a motorcycle accident a few weeks ago and have some complex scarring to my face and a damaged nose. Im trying to get my face back to how it looked pre-accident. questions: Am I a candidate for scar revision? I understand lasers are trending. Im already using Red Light. Should I start resurfacing with lasers early? How quickly should I seek out rhinoplasty? My left nostril is damaged and its hard to breathe through nose. Would injectable corticosteroids help?
Hello- I got an upper blepharoplasty 3 years ago and my scars are still very much there. It has made me regret the entire procedure. I went to a skilled doctor in DC and the recovery took awhile and after that the scars never dissapeared. I basically get eyelash extensions to cover the scar :( A few things Ive tried: 1. Steroid injections 2. Profractional laser (twice)
