Pain a few days after FUT hair transplant?

Hi. 5 days ago i had my FUT hair transplant. I know that the wound heals for some time, but the left side of the closure is much better that the right. The pain on the right side is the same as it was on the first day post op. Is this normal? Painkillers dont really help:/. Should i contact the doctor or wait for some time more?

Pain after surgery is normal.  Pain after one weeks is considered normal.  Since every one experience pain differently you would need to speak to your doctor about the pain

qbolt,Absolutely you should contact your surgeon! It is very unusual for there to be significant pain 5 days after an FUT procedure. Without the benefit of a thorough examination it is impossible to advise you. There are many possible causes of your discomfort.All the best,Bernardino A. Arocha, MD

If it seems like you're healing incorrectly you definitely should be contacting your doctor immediately about it. You should really only have moderate pain for one, maybe two days after your transplant. A little mild discomfort is normal for a week or two after that but what you're describing does not sound mild.

If you see more pain on one side more than the other then you should considering going back to your doctor and have your doctor examine your wound. Why worry when that is what you paid your doctor for.
