I recently had a hair transplant megasession with FUT/FUE. It was 12 days ago. How long should I wait to swim with my head underwater? Our pool has extremely low PPM of chlorine.
Answer: Swimming after a Hair Transplant First is the issue of swimming in a chlorinated pool .In my practice I do not recommend my patients swimming in a pool for one month , until the scabs have healed completely . Chlorine can kill grafts even if your pool has low PPM of chlorine, therefore you are adviced to take a shawer after swimming in a pool. Having them wait a couple extra weeks to insure that the grafts are completely seeded and will not be damaged by outside factors is worth the wait. All the Best

Answer: How long after a hair transplant megasession FUT/FUE should I wait to swim in the pool? Thank you for posting your question. Every clinic has their own post-procedure instructions as how soon patients can go swimming. Either in the pool, or the ocean. We typically advise patients to hold off if they can atleast 3 months. If it's any sooner, they can wear a swimmers cap, and or rinse their head right after they get out of the pool/ocean with clean water. Hope this helps.

Answer: Swimming We generally advise our patients to wait at least a month before swimming in a pool, because the chlorine is pretty harsh on grafts, especially if they're still weak. Some doctors say only 2 weeks, it really just depends on who you ask, and you should probably just ask your own doctor since they know the specifics of your procedure and you paid them to help you!
