I have 1 ml Stylage M in my lips 1. My lips are very dry, peeling and cracked. Is it possible that lip filler will burst out? Because I'm scared lip filler stretchen my lips (because as I think lip filler stretch lips, right?) and they won't be able to maintain the weight and it will burst out.I hope no 2. What does it look like when lip filler disappear? Will I see that from months to month there is less filler or it will violently disappear after one year? Will any lumps disappear in time too?
Answer: Can Stylage lip filler burst out? Thank you for sharing your excellent question. As a hyaluronic acid filler, Stylage will not burst out if placed appropriately and with care. The product will slowly be absorbed so you will see a gradual reduction in your lip appearance over the next several months. Hope this helps.

Answer: Lip filler does not burst out Thank you for your question. It depends on how the filler is administered and how much is placed in the lips - you can see some of my results here which show the lips having a very natural look. Stylage is a newer filler that combines hyaluronic acid with lidocaine and mannitol and is said to have less inflammatory effects. But it does really depend on how this is administered and how much volume is placed overall. The lips do not deflate once the filler has disappeared and you are not left with extra skin - you will have the lips you started with. I do not like putting fat into lips although some surgeons like this option, I do not. Fat is harvested from another part of the body and then a small amount is placed in to the lips. Part of the fat absorbed will dissolve and then the remainder will increase in volume which will give you the eventual result. Now my issue with fat (and this is really more of a personal opinion) is that you dont know how much will be absorbed so you could end up with asymmetry in the lip. Secondly, fat behaves like fat behaves - so if you gain or lose weight, this could change the lip shape as well. I feel you have more control with filler and can get a more consistent result.I hope this is of help to youBW

Answer: Lip Augmentation Thank you for your question. You may be a candidate for fat injections. It offers the only natural method for potential permanent results. Please continue to work closely with your board certified facial plastic surgeon as you develop your treatment plan. Best wishes,
