Help! I can’t get rid of this weird pocket of fat on my hips. I’ve been looking into CoolSculpting because I don’t necessarily want to go through the recovery of liposuction but was looking for others opinions. What area would this even be called? Love handles?? Flanks??
Answer: Liposuction or CoolSculpting? Hello and welcome to our forum. When it comes to liposuction vs. CoolSculpting, it depends on how aggressively you want to tackle your fat deposits. Liposuction will produce noticeable results quickly, but you will also have to undergo anesthesia and a longer healing time. If you are a candidate for CoolSculpting, it can be a good option if you don't want the downtime associated with surgery, but you will most likely need multiple treatments. A consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who has experience with both options can help you make an informed decision. Best of luck!

Answer: Liposuction vs coolsculpt Liposuction was designed to remove stubborn pockets of fat that aren't touched by diet or exercise. The condition is sometimes familial. Non-surgical modalities such as coolsculpt will marginally improve the areas but to obtain a totally smooth contour I would recommend the surgical option by a significant margin. The procedure is relatively minimal and has a very short downtime. Visit a board certified plastic surgeon for more information. Best wishes...

Answer: Little hip lipo You will get your best result with tumescent liposuction. Liposuction is the most powerful tool we as plastic surgeons have—-the results can be very dramatic. Why? Because traditional tumescent liposuction can remove the fat but ALSO remove a little adjacent fat and blend the area and really sculpt the hip area and that is really the key. While it looks like a little area that you could apply a cool sculpting clamp and you would be fine but cool sculpting is just that—a clamp that simply treats ONE AREA and the real result will come from carefully removing the fat and blending the area to look normal. That is not even to mention the fact that liposuction is more effective than cool sculpting as the fat is completely removed at the time of surgery.Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, Florida Medical Association

Answer: Hips/upper outer thighs are just screaming to liposuctioned! The hips(flanks) and down to the upper outer thighs needs tum. liposuction to make a dramatic natural improvement under local with only 2 days downtime and back to the gym in 1 week. It is not painful at all and the results are very dramatic. Don't waste money on gimmicky procedures that don't work.

Answer: I can’t get rid of this weird pocket of fat on my hips. Should I do liposuction or CoolSculpting? Either may be appropriate, though liposuction results are more predictable and can frequently be achieved in one session.
