Nipples are too high - can anything be done? (Photos)

Question

After a breast lift and implant exchange, my nipples sit higher on my breast. The doctor indicated there wasn’t any procedure that would make a worthwhile difference. It’s manageable but does limit what I can wear- swimsuits and bras are a pain to shop for- is there anything that can be done?

I would recommend a horizontal inferior pole resection; this is sometimes called "an inferior mastopexy". This will effectively shorten the nipple to fold distance. You truly need to see a breast surgery expert American Board of Plastic Surgery certified plastic surgeon.

After a breast lift with implant exchange, high nipple position can occur due to implant descent or increased lower pole fullness, making the nipples appear too elevated. If the appearance is bothersome, possible surgical options include nipple-areola complex repositioning, implant exchange or adjustment (to reduce upper pole fullness), or a revisional mastopexy to rebalance nipple position relative to the breast mound. These procedures involve additional scarring and risks, so they are typically considered if the asymmetry is functionally or aesthetically significant.
