Two stage lift and implant revision - is the original incision from the lift opened or is a new one made?

Hello, If a breast implant revision with lift is done in two stages, how is the implant placed in stage two? Is one of the incisions from the lift reopened, or is a new incision made? If the lift incision is reopened when it's only 3-6 months healed would that cause it to look much worse? Thank you

Thank you for your question.  I have been in practice for over 30 years and revisionary breast surgery is a large portion of my practice.  If anyone is doing a two-stage breast implant revision and lift on you, you should go somewhere else.  That by itself is a nonstarter. In my entire practice, I have never done that, and have had successful results.  I believe that that surgeon that is not secure with his or her surgical abilities.  Best wishes to you.
