Re-treat on #19 got a prep done for this tooth, temp on it right now. When I close down I STILL feel pain , not sharp , not sensitive to hot/cold just a weird feeling. Dentist said x-rays look good no infection he looked with magnifying loupes during an said he did not see any fractures was not suspicious of one. why is it still be hurting with the nerve and infection gone and no signs of any fracture ? I do not want to loose this tooth ,should I give it time to settle. I'm so upset over this.

Yes, you can have the crown repaired. I've done it countless times with long term results. The dentist may need to drill slightly into the metal, but that's not a problem.
Hi,
The lab usually keeps the models about 7 to 10 days or how ever long it takes them to make the crowns or other dental work. Its then returned to your dentist with the finished product and from there we discard the models.
If a piece of tooth broke in your moutt then it would be wise to call your dentist. I am not certain why that tooth was not crowned after the root canal, but it should be now before the tooth fractures further. Good luck.
