Question

My PS has told me in order to get the desired look I wanted we would have to go with mentor 590cc uhp but the question would they look fake? I'm taking my ps recommendation but I want them to be ok.

Hello and thank you for your question. Honestly, a formal in-person evaluation would be needed to determine the best treatment. There are several reasons for this: 
1) Bra sizes vary based on the clothing store (for example, Victoria's Secret tends to upsize everyone by a whole cup size)
2) Most women do not wear the proper exact fitting bra size for their bodies
3) The exact volume (in cc) needed to change cup size is different for different body types (e.g. 32A to 32D requires a different implant size than 38A to 38D)
4) Be careful NOT to fall into the trap most women do- they see a certain implant size (e.g. 285 cc) or perhaps their friend had a certain size, and they want or request this or another size based on that. Everyone's body is different- 285 cc implants on your friend might look VERY different than they would on you. Be very careful not to make this mistake, because the goal is to find the right size and shape for YOU- for your particular body and your breasts.

Because of those multiple factors, and because it is KEY to fully evaluate your breasts in person to make a full set of precise measurements to select the proper implant for you (incorporating factors like amount of breast tissue, implant type, base width, projection, etc), answering your question really would need a formal personalized consultation- to say anything before that would simply be guessing, which would be both unfair and unhelpful to you. Also, just FYI, each surgeon's measurements are slightly different, so numbers, experience, and overall aesthetic from one surgeon aren't necessarily the same as those from another surgeon!

Your breasts are such a KEY area of your body and your femininity- therefore, you should ONLY trust an experienced aesthetic plastic surgeon. As such an expert, I have had extensive training and experience with complex aesthetic surgeries under a multiple world-renowned experts in the field. I’d recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with aesthetic plastic surgery procedures) for a formal consultation to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate all your options (surgical and nonsurgical), and decide on the best procedure(s) and type of anesthesia for your specific case. I think that you should be careful in using such a large and projecting implant if your goal is truly be be natural looking. Yes - this size and shape will look big, very round, and yes, fake.The real question is:  what did you describe to your surgeon as your desired goals?  IMO, you could get a much more natural looking result with either a moderate or high profile implant - but of course, those would be a little smaller.All the best,

but certain sizes and styles can give you a more 'natural' result.  UHP implants usually result in fake looks so review your goals and expectations with your surgeon and even ask about shaped implants helping you achieve your wishes and see what options are available to you and then choose what is best for you.

Chosing the cc size is a very personal decision only you can make, 590 is larger but you could handle that volume if you want red to.

There are several factors that plastic surgeons consider when recommending implant sizes.  I consider two factors when selecting implants for my patients:1. Dimensional planning2. Gel Implant Sizing systemDimensional planning – The measurements of your chest wall are taken. Also, the breast dimensions including the height, width, and current dimensions of each breast form the basis of dimensional planning. Based on these measurements, the implant size is recommended. This will give you a unique breast implant that is suited for your body frame. However, there are some limitations of what size we can recommend. For instance, some implants may just be too big for a narrow chest wall. Your surgeon can review this with you during the consultation.Gel Implant Sizing system – During the preliminary breast implant consultation, you will be provided with an option to “try on” a variety of implant shapes and sizes. You can also visualize the possible outcomes of your surgery which helps you to get that perfect size to give you the shape that you longed for. This way your preferences are known and you can then pick a range of implants that will “fit” just right to give a soft natural fuller look. Hope this helps.

I think you can expect an unnatural look with the implants that have been recommended.  A high profile implant of about 100 cc less would look less unnatural, and a moderate plus in the 400 cc range still less so.Your call. All the best.

There is no doubt that a 590 cc ultra high profile implant will look fake.  These are very round implants Be certain that this is the look that you are expecting.  Otherwise may consider a high profile or moderate plus profile and downsize the volume accordingly.

For my patients conspiring breast implants, we have a long discussion trying to help you pick out the best implants to achieve your specific goals.  To give you a better answer to your question, you would need to be seen in consultation.  However, in general, an ultra high profile implant looks more "fake" than lower profiles.  If you plastic surgeon told you need ultra high implants to achieve your desired look, then they were probably under the impression that a "fake" look was not something that would bother you as for many of my patients, this may be part of the goal.  I suggest you express your concerns to your surgeon and then go from there.
