Why is there no change at 4 weeks post Tumescent Lipo?

Swelling is expected after liposuction.  The worst swelling occurs during the first couple weeks.  Majority of swelling will decrease within 6 weeks.  However, the overall result of liposuction may take up to 6 months or longer for some patients.  Since your plastic surgeon has removed 2200cc, I would expect that you would see changes in next couple months.  Please follow up with your plastic surgeon.

It will take 6 months for all the swelling to resolve after liposuction.  Then you can compare before and after pictures and measuremets.  Remember, liposuction is a contouring method, the changes are subtle, most people do not change size in clothes, but their clothes just fit better.

It may just take more time; it sounds like your doctor closed the sutures so there wasn't a lot of drainage available to come out compared to if the incisions were left open.You should still better results in the next month or two.Good luck!

Thanks so much for your question.  You need to give things more time.  If the surgeon took out 2200cc of volume and you are maintaining the same weight you have to eventually go down in size.  You are still swollen at a month.  It typically takes at least 3 months for all the swelling to resolve.  With larger volume liposuctions it can take even longer.  Give things time.
